WHAT’S A SKILLED TRADE?

 A skilled tradesman is a worker who specializes in a particular occupation that requires work experience, on-the-job training, and/or a formal vocational education, but NOT a bachelor's degree.

 Most of us think of the building trades like carpenters, masons, plumbers, painters, etc. for skilled trades, but there are many, many more. 

INDUSTRIAL TRADES

Includes electrians, plumpers , pipefitters, industrial machine mechanics, welders, tool & die makers, general maintenance and repai, machinists, riggers, and more. 

CONSTRUCTION TRADES

Includes carpenters brick and block masons, tile and marble setters, painters, insulation workers, HVAC mechanics, crane operators, and many more.

SERVICE TRADES

Includes EMC technicians, paramedics, dental assistants, phlebotomists, chefs and cooks, haidressers, barbers, cosmetologists, auto and truck mechanics,  pilots, and more.
